CED of the Vladimir Customs has been operating for 8 years and is considered one of the oldest centers in the country. It was created at the same time as the CEDs of the Tver and Moscow regions. This is a modernized customs post, which work is based on the electronic declaring of goods. Foreign economic activity participants can submit a declaration remotely, without presence during customs clearance of goods.
In addition to Vladimir region, the Vladimir CED serves other:

Automation of declaration is a promising and strategic direction for the development of the Vladimir customs. Automation leads to shorter customs clearance timescales and fewer contacts with customs officials. In 2019, 65% of the total number of submitted declarations were automatically registered, 15% of declarations were automatically issued, which is 10% more than last year. In quantitative terms, this amounted to 66,000 declarations. There is a clear trend towards an increase in the number of registered ECDs. In 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, it grew by 22%. In addition, this year was marked by the introduction of the declaration of new names of goods.
Advantages that distinguish the EEC from a conventional customs post:
The CED is responsible for the entire Central Federal District of the Russian Federation.
Here you can process goods that are delivered by any type of transport: water, air, road, rail and mixed.
Prompt registration.
Customs clearance of any cargoes, including:
food products and perishable goods;
clothing and footwear;
appliances;
equipment and machines;
tobacco and alcohol;
mineral products: fuel, oils;
vehicles;
construction materials.
There are 20 temporary storage warehouses in the CED area.
Recently, there was an information, that structural changes, related to the transfer of powers of the Vladimir CED to the Central Electronic Customs in Moscow, are planned. Presumably, these changes will take place in December 2019. Experts believe that the reorganization will negatively affect the speed of processing applications. This also can lead to queues and downtime of trucks.
When you submit a preliminary ECD to the CED of the Vladimir Customs, it is extremely important to fill it out correctly and provide a full package of necessary documents. Otherwise, delays and other problems related to the re-registration of papers are inevitable.
