The Tver CED was established on October 6, 2010, and opened on January 12, 2011. This is one of the oldest electronic declaration centers. In January 2019, it celebrated its 80th birthday. The Tver CED is under the jurisdiction of the Central Customs Administration of the FCS of Russia. The competence of this body includes customs clearance of goods in the central regions.
Hundreds of customs declarations, more than 1 million tons of cargoes - this is the result of the work of the Tver CED. Wood, non-ferrous and ferrous metals, precious metals, dairy and meat products, perfumery, cosmetics, clothing, footwear, and various equipment are cleared and prepared for export here. Cargoes from Poland, Finland, Germany, Italy and other countries arrive here.
Thanks to remote release technology, it is not necessary for a foreign trade participant to visit the Tver CED. Documents are submitted remotely via the Internet. This is the main advantage of the Tver Electronic Declaration Center. The declaration is registered in the Tver CED, it is checked here and the decision on release is made right there.
In addition, the advantages of this CED are:
prompt processing and issuance of customs declaration. Terms are reduced due to the automatic registration mode, verification of the validity of the electronic signature, the availability of all necessary documents and payments of duties and taxes;
any categories of goods are cleared through customs: dangerous, oversized, fragile, valuable, etc.
cargoes carried by any type of transport are under customs clearance;
At the moment, Tverskoy CED carries out 90% of the total declaration volume in the region. Most are exported. In 2018, 9.5 thousand electronic declarations were automatically registered, and the automatic release of goods was carried out for 2.5 thousand declarations. At the beginning of 2019, 238 Tver companies use information customs technologies, and their number is constantly increasing.
It should also be noted, that it is possible to submit information for the preliminary electronic declaration of the customs procedure of customs transit and the direct transit declaration in advance, even before the cargo arrives at the checkpoint. This is done to save the time required for the procedure. Submission of the declaration and documents is carried out through the "Personal account of the participant of foreign economic activity" on the website of the FCS of Russia To verify the identity, the declarant must have an electronic signature.
